Any ideas one what to read after the twilight saga?

Posted under twilight saga, by admin

I finished the twilight saga and do not know what to read next. Maybe I would prefer it to be about vampires/romance. Do not say Harry Potter as I have read them all and I prefer the twilight saga. Thank you for answering >.<

How about you read an actual novel instead of teen trash pulp fiction. Those emo vampires in twilight *sparkle* – they’re not even vampires sadly – Meyer has no respect for anything that precedes her –

Bram Stoker’s "Dracula" novel anyone?

Here’s a thought look up the name "Anne Rice" then "The Vampire Chronicles" if vampires are your thing at least their are a couple books are worth reading. After all she was pretty much the FIRST hyped up saga writer.

Alternatively "I Am Legend" (1954) novel by Richard Matheson is a literary classic!

Please I beg you to stem the literary decay of the youth and read something out of the 3-7 age range. PLEASE LOOK AT MY SOURCE LINKS FOR MORE NOVELS.

But if you really must infect your brain with cliched pulp trash of no worth to humanity other than to warm the homeless then:

I would recommend Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

After reading Twilight, I got hooked into the whole fantasy realm vampire thing… I couldn’t really go back to reading what I previously read which was ‘Brisingr’ and ‘The Persimmon Tree’…. lol…

Personally I don’t see how you can prefere Twilight it is so badly written but I have to say the books are good.

    Have you ever read
Phillip Paulman – His Dark Materials. The First is the Northern Lights (the film was rubbish the Golden Compass so don’t judge it on that) Read past the first few chapters and then you will love it, the first is a little dull but it is so good after that,
History ones – Innocent Traitor, Other Boleyn Girl
The Inheritance series – Eragon …
    Inkheart Inkspell ….
Mortal Enguines, This is a really good book – better if you know a bit about London but still really good. Its an adventure.
Any Jane Austen they are amazing. Loads of others just look around.

    Atonement by Ian McEwan
The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Jay Fowler
The Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffeneger

  11. Midnight Train Said,

First of all, have you gone back to read Midnight Sun which is Twilight in Edward’s point of view? Well, it’s partially written:

Secondly, if you’re into romance, anything by Nicholas Sparks is good for you. You might also like Me and Mr. Darcy, which is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Very cute.

I’ve heard a lot about the Inkheart series, but haven’t read any of them. It sounds like Twilight fans are into those books as well.

    Happy reading!! :o )

  16. Jessica B Said,

After I finished the Twilight saga, I thought I would never be able to enjoy another book! That’s how much I loved the Twilight series.

However, I decided to read "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer, and I loved it. I still liked Twilight more, but it’s hard to compete with something that great. In "The Host," you still get the same romance feeling that you get when reading Twilight, but it doesn’t hit til later in the book. It’s a great science fiction read that doesn’t FEEL like science fiction (which was great for me, because I don’t usually like sci-fi).

I also read "The Worthing Saga" by Orson Scott Card after Twilight. It’s amazing!

    Enjoy =]
