�AN OXFORDSHIRE man wants the people responsible for taking Britain into the European Union during the Edward Heath government 35 years ago charged with treason and sedition.

And he is making a formal complaint against Thames Valley Police which is refusing to take up the case, claiming lack of resources. He is set to put his case to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Albert Burgess, 63, of Parliament Road, Thame, is backed by his friend David Barnby, of New Yatt Road, Witney. Mr Burgess said: "I have researched this fully and found that the government of the day gave away sovereign powers to a foreign government and that is against all our traditions and our constitution.
