Make your werewolves real werewolves (not shapeshifters who turn into wolves) + keep the vampire out of it and that should stop it going towards twilight
References :
Make the werewolf an actual were wolf. The best way to make it not like twilight is to make it good.
My opinion on twilight...
I hate twilight. (Team Edward only because the other one is ugly) And no it doesn’t have vampires it has gay men that got glitter stuck to them and don't want anyone to see so don't go you in sunlight. The vampire has been woven into thousands of years worth of ancient myths, the main concepts one that they drink blood and the other that they have a weakness to sunlight or day. (I’m not saying that they burn in flames only that they are affected in some way) You can’t change that. It’s not a vampire if it isn’t. It would be like saying that an orange scaled fish that lived on land was a gold fish. Yet gold fish live in the water.
Edward can't read Bella’s mind only because she does not have one. And "Bella swan" beautiful swan. So cheesy. The only interesting characters are the one that has a problem controlling himself around blood and the girl that can predict the future. The werewolves are big dogs wtf where’s the half man half wolf monster. And in the book there is hardly any real description. She’s used a thesaurus to the point that it doesn't make any sense. (No I’m not dumb I actually go to a grammar school). She tries to be smart when she is actually being dumb.
The only reason it's so popular is due to the lack of description and lack of individuality in the characters, and teen aged girl can put herself in Bella’s position and instantly image herself with an (apparently) hot dream boy.
It’s a load of literary crap to summarise.
References :
You do two things:
1) Keep away from love interests. If you really want at least a slight romantic edge, keep it two minor/secondary characters and at a minimal. Friendships are not off limits with avioding romantic ideas.

2) Keep to the classical werewolf ideas such as silver bullets and turning into a wolf only under the full moon. If you make a vampire human or werewolf hybrid, which has been thought of before reading Twilight 4 (I know I've thought about that before knowing about the final Twilight book) keep it logical under the ideas of classic vampires and werewolves.
References :
How exactly is it turning out Twilight-ish? The characters? The plot?

Make sure your characters aren't Mary Sues, for one, because that's what the Twilight characters are, hardcore.

Let the plot of your book be more exciting than just having someone from paranormal world randomly wanting to kill your protagonist at the end of the book. Don't have a high school setting, and if you do, don't do something as stupid as having old vampires pretend to be teenaged high schoolers over and over again as a plot device. If you want them to meet, have them meet in another way besides school. I could help if I knew exactly how this was becoming an issue for you.
References :
I personally hate Twilight. Twilight is not original mainly it consists of vampire traits copied out of Vampire Diaries and Anne Rice vampire novels. As for werewolves-haven't read many novels about that. When you say it sounds like Twilight is sounds like you're mocking your work. Twilight has horrible grammatical errors. God, I wish I didn't buy that series. Well I was only 11.
Remember it is your story.
1.PLOT
2.NON MARY SUE CHARACTERS-FEMALE
3.NOT AN ABUSIVE SOUNDING PERSON-MALE
4.CONFLICTS
5.INTERACTION-MAKE SURE YOU MAKE CHARACTERS INDIVIDUALLY AND NOT BUILT UP IN A WALL
6.PROBLEM SOLVED?
References :
Remember that it's YOUR story. Even though people may compare it to Twilight, you shouldn't as you're writing it. Write it as it comes to you. Maybe wait awhile so that Twilight isn't so fresh in your mind, not to mention the public's mind. I, too, have a plot idea for a vampire story--I thought of it before I even heard of Twilight. I know that it won't be taken seriously if I write and publish it in the next few years. It will be considered a knockoff of Twilight, even though I know it's not. So I'm waiting for the hysteria to calm down, because trust me, this isn't classic literature--in a few years it will be over. I want my story to be considered a good book, not a way to make tons of money on movies and merchandise. Sure, it'd be cool to make a movie out of it one day, but I put a lot more thought into my stories than Stephenie Meyer did, and you should too.
If it's your own personal style, that will show. For example, "Supernatural" is NOTHING like Twilight and it has supernatural elements to it. Just avoid the cliche "perfect boy sweeps girl off her feet" plot line and you're good to go. In fact, if you want, just think of why you dislike Twilight and make sure your book isn't anything like that.
Good luck!
References :
LOL i'm kind of having the same problem. I'm writing a book about vampires that arent anything from Twilight or Dracula or VD, but hey, a little bit of similarity is ok i thought. the only things that are siimilar in my book is Italy, obviously vampires, Seattle, no sleep and that's about it. so a little bit is okay.
